12th Anniversary, 13th Induction and Turn-Over Ceremonies

On June 13, 2015, a dinner symposium was presented by Pasig City Medical Society in cooperation with Reckitt-Benckiser at the Richmonde Hotel Ortigas Center, Pasig City for the -

12TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION,

13TH INDUCTION OF NEW PCMS OFFICERS & MEMBERS

AND TURN-OVER CEREMONIES

The celebration started with the invocation followed by singing of the official hymns: Philippine National Anthem, PMA Hymn and PCMS Hymn. 

Dr. Arthur Catli (past president) acknowledged guests and dignitaries. 

Dr. Madge Gealone (past president) presented a brief history of the PCMS.

Candle lighting and Cake Ceremony with Wine Toast were led by the founding president, Dr. Carlito P. Pajarillo. 

Dr. Arnold Tabun, Jr (outgoing president) gave a tribute to the past presidents. Dr. Tabun was later given a presidential award for outstanding service and dedication to PCMS FY 2014-2015. Dr. Eric Dacanay (councilor), on the other hand, rendered sentimental songs. 

Dr. Pajarillo introduced the Guest of Honor and Inducting Officer: Honorable Richard J. Gordon (CEO/Chairman of Philippine Red Cross). In his speech, Chairman Gordon discussed the roles of the physician in relation to his advocacy in the Philippine Red Cross. Preparedness towards calamities/disasters as well as after care for victims were tackled.

Dr. Sylvia R. Calingo, PCMS COMELEC Chairman, presented the newly elected officers for 2015-2016. Hon. Richard J. Gordon inducted the new President: Dr. Evelyn Tantamco – Gusi while Dr. Kenneth Y. Hartigan-Go, DOH Undersecretary for Regulatory Affairs, inducted the other officers.

New president Dr. Evelyn Tantamco-Gusi accepted the symbols of authority: medallion, PCMS seal, banner, gavel and block. After that, she delivered her inaugural address. Later on, she inducted 8 new PCMS members.

The ceremonies continued with the induction of the PCMS Auxiliary Officers, presided by Theresa Bongolan, DMD, the current National APMA President. Inductees were the following:

Dr. Lilia Roaquin, new VP/Sec, delivered the closing remarks.

Masters of ceremonies were past president Dr. Arthur T. Catli, new VP/Sec. Dr. Lilia U. Roaquin, and new Asst. Sec. Dr. Annalyn Bunquin-Catorce.

Socials and Raffles were hosted by past president Dr. Jorge C. Licsi and auditor Dr. Lolonila Santos-Co ending the memorable event.
