12th Anniversary, 13th Induction and Turn-Over Ceremonies

On June 13, 2015, a dinner symposium was presented by Pasig City Medical Society in cooperation with Reckitt-Benckiser at the Richmonde Hotel Ortigas Center, Pasig City for the -

12TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION,

13TH INDUCTION OF NEW PCMS OFFICERS & MEMBERS

AND TURN-OVER CEREMONIES

The celebration started with the invocation followed by singing of the official hymns: Philippine National Anthem, PMA Hymn and PCMS Hymn. 

Dr. Arthur Catli (past president) acknowledged guests and dignitaries. 

Dr. Madge Gealone (past president) presented a brief history of the PCMS.

Candle lighting and Cake Ceremony with Wine Toast were led by the founding president, Dr. Carlito P. Pajarillo. 

Dr. Arnold Tabun, Jr (outgoing president) gave a tribute to the past presidents. Dr. Tabun was later given a presidential award for outstanding service and dedication to PCMS FY 2014-2015. Dr. Eric Dacanay (councilor), on the other hand, rendered sentimental songs. 

Dr. Pajarillo introduced the Guest of Honor and Inducting Officer: Honorable Richard J. Gordon (CEO/Chairman of Philippine Red Cross). In his speech, Chairman Gordon discussed the roles of the physician in relation to his advocacy in the Philippine Red Cross. Preparedness towards calamities/disasters as well as after care for victims were tackled.

Dr. Sylvia R. Calingo, PCMS COMELEC Chairman, presented the newly elected officers for 2015-2016. Hon. Richard J. Gordon inducted the new President: Dr. Evelyn Tantamco – Gusi while Dr. Kenneth Y. Hartigan-Go, DOH Undersecretary for Regulatory Affairs, inducted the other officers.

New president Dr. Evelyn Tantamco-Gusi accepted the symbols of authority: medallion, PCMS seal, banner, gavel and block. After that, she delivered her inaugural address. Later on, she inducted 8 new PCMS members.

The ceremonies continued with the induction of the PCMS Auxiliary Officers, presided by Theresa Bongolan, DMD, the current National APMA President. Inductees were the following:

Dr. Lilia Roaquin, new VP/Sec, delivered the closing remarks.

Masters of ceremonies were past president Dr. Arthur T. Catli, new VP/Sec. Dr. Lilia U. Roaquin, and new Asst. Sec. Dr. Annalyn Bunquin-Catorce.

Socials and Raffles were hosted by past president Dr. Jorge C. Licsi and auditor Dr. Lolonila Santos-Co ending the memorable event.

On March 15, 2015, simultaneous with the PCMS 12th Annual Convention, will be the elections for the (PMA) Philippine Medical Association's Officers 2015-2016. It will be held at the Richmonde Hotel, Pasig City at 8am to 5pm.

Among the candidates is PCMS' pride, Dr. Carlito Pajarillo, who is running for PMA treasurer.

Please be reminded that Only those members who have no arrears or have paid all membership dues before September 30, 2014 are qualified to vote. The voters' list will be prepared by the PMA.

Exercise your right to vote. Do it wisely.

Coming soon: PCMS Annual Convention

The Pasig City Medical Society

will hold its

12th Annual Convention

this coming March 15, 2015 at

the Richmonde Hotel, Ortigas Pasig City.

The convention will focus on

the latest guidelines and updates (nutrition, chronic pain, hygiene, allergy, etc)

in clinical practice.

Christmas Party 2014

Late post:

Pasig city Medical Society celebrated Christmas Party last December 16, 2014 at the Clubhouse of Parkwood Greens Executive Village.

A get-together of Pasig City Medical Society members to celebrate unity and camarederie among each other. One successful event which brought happiness to all attendees. For all who were not present, hope we see you next year. Merry Christmas to all!
